Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Market Area's Ethics and Compliance program
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on compliance and risk matters
- Drive a robust culture of ethics, integrity and compliance
- Lead horizon scanning and emerging risk identification across the Market Area
- Lead the Market Area's Ethics and Compliance related governance activities
- Oversee third party due diligence and monitoring
- Lead training and awareness initiatives
- Assess and manage conflicts of interest, expenditure risks, and engagements with public officials
- Lead remediation resulting from investigations
- Collaborate with legal, internal audit, and other assurance functions
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in an ethics & compliance or related risk leadership role in a multinational organization
- Legal degree strongly preferred
- Experience operating in the region, including in high risk markets
- Proven track record of partnering with senior business leaders to manage risks
- Experience in a matrixed organization
- Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly
- Experience managing and developing a large diverse team across multiple locations
- Impeccable judgment, maturity, and discretion
- Working proficiency in languages relevant to the Market Area preferred
- Ability to travel internationally

Our Exciting Opportunity
- This is an expanded and strategically important role for Head of Compliance for Market Area EMEA.
- The role encompasses the full spectrum of ethics and compliance risk: anti bribery and corruption, antitrust, anti money laundering, human rights, anti fraud, anti terrorism, reputational risk, and beyond.
- The role holder will proactively identify emerging threats and work with the business to own and respond where needed.
In this role you will be expected to
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Market Area's Ethics and Compliance program.
- Act as a solution oriented trusted advisor to business stakeholders.
- Drive a robust culture of ethics, integrity and compliance.
- Champion Business Success as a trusted advisor.
- Lead with Integrity and act as a role model.
- Lead and develop your people, building expert capability across the Compliance team.
- Lead horizon scanning and emerging risk identification across the Market Area.
- Lead the Market Area's Ethics and Compliance related governance activities.
- Oversee third party engagement, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
- Lead training and awareness initiatives.
- Assess and manage conflicts of interest, expenditure risks, and engagements with public officials.
- Lead remediation resulting from investigations or other consequence management processes.
To be successful in this role, you should have
- Strong ethics, compliance and risk management credentials, including at least 10 years of experience in an ethics & compliance or related risk leadership role in a multinational organization.
- A legal degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience operating in the region, including in high risk markets.
- Proven track record of partnering with senior business leaders to manage risks.
- Experience in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly.
- Ability to take ownership of complex problems and drive them to completion.
- Experience in managing and developing a large diverse team across multiple locations.
- Impeccable judgement, maturity, and discretion.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Working proficiency in languages relevant to the Market Area preferred.
- Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally.
