Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the organization’s overall compliance framework, policies, controls, and regulatory governance structure across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial services regulations, regulatory obligations, and internal governance standards.
• Oversee AML, KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, financial crime prevention, and compliance monitoring programs.
• Manage regulatory reporting requirements, audits, inspections, inquiries, and ongoing engagement with regulators and external stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance compliance policies, procedures, controls, and risk-based monitoring frameworks.
• Advise executive leadership and business units on regulatory developments, compliance risks, operational controls, and governance matters.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and oversee remediation plans, investigations, incident management, and corrective actions where required.
• Partner closely with Legal, Risk, Operations, Finance, Product, Payments, and senior management teams to ensure compliance alignment across all business activities.
• Establish and maintain internal compliance training and awareness initiatives across the organization.
• Build, mentor, and manage the compliance team while promoting a strong culture of ethics, accountability, and regulatory awareness.
• Monitor changes in international regulatory frameworks and proactively assess their impact on the business.

Requirements

• 10+ years of compliance experience within regulated financial services environments.
• Strong background within forex, CFDs, brokerage, fintech, payments, capital markets, or digital financial services.
• Strong understanding of UAE and international regulatory frameworks, including experience working with or engaging alongside regulators such as SCA, VARA, DFSA, ADGM FSRA, or equivalent international regulatory bodies.
• Experience within regulated brokerage, trading, fintech, or capital markets environments operating across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven experience managing compliance operations across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
• Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, sanctions, financial crime prevention, and regulatory governance frameworks.
• Experience interacting directly with regulators, auditors, and external compliance/legal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, governance controls, and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing compliance teams within dynamic, international organizations.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
• Relevant professional certifications are considered advantageous.
• Based in Dubai, UAE or open to relocation.
