This position is in Santa Rosa, in the heart of California’s beautiful wine country, is the corporate headquarters of Keysight, home to many product development R&D labs.

The Digital and Photonics R&D team in Santa Rosa develops and produces the world’s highest performance oscilloscopes.

You will work in close collaboration with a diverse multi-functional team of engineers, scientists, and researchers around the globe to meet the communications electronics measurement challenges of today and tomorrow.

Lead and develop a team of multi-talented hardware engineers to invent, design, and develop new, world-leading time-domain measurement instruments, working with a multi-functional, global team to deliver designs from concept to full manufacturing shipment.

• Quickly learn the hardware architecture of sampling oscilloscopes, taking ownership to imagine, define, plan and execute one or more projects to deliver new oscilloscope products to market. Instrument design requires multiple subsystem integration including optical and electrical frontends, signal sampling sub-systems, clock recovery/phase lock loop design at frequencies from 20 GHz to 200GHz with analog control/sensing/adjustment circuitry. Provide customer-valued performance, robustness, and flexibility within cost, schedule and scope constraints.
• Lead a multi-functional team through the full product development lifecycle and prove your designs are manufacturable as well as high-performance. Work to balance customer-facing requirements with pragmatic technical judgement to align on scope, factory cost/investment cost, and schedule. Learn and follow the Keysight product lifecycle, respecting standards of business conduct and export control restrictions.
