Role Overview
Design and validate proximity sensors and electronic systems for autonomous vehicles.
The role covers vehicle integration and lifecycle design from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle PCB design, including requirements, schematics, component selection, layout, bring-up, testing, debugging, and integration.
- Develop system interconnect diagrams and wire harness definitions for electronic equipment.
- Conduct design reviews, vendor evaluations, and root cause analysis for field operations.
- Build and test engine system components through laboratory, ground, and flight tests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or an equivalent field, with at least 7 years of complex board design experience.
- Strong circuit, component, and mixed-signal design background.
- Experience with sensor design, build, testing, and integration.
- Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain systems.
- Competence with electronic test equipment and automated test systems.
- Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI, electronic CAD tools, and EMI testing.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military or commercial environmental testing experience.
- Experience with height-of-burst sensors, ordnance fuzing systems, UAS, missiles, or maritime programs.
- Experience with DoD Weapons Safety Boards, volume production, complex electrical systems, listed MIL-STD specifications, JOTP-052, or JOTP-054.
- Experience with explosive operations or handling munitions.
Compensation
- The stated U.S. salary range is $146,000–$194,000 USD.
- The range represents base salary only; equity and benefits may be included in full-time offers.
