About the Role
Gulf Cryo is seeking a Process Safety Manager to provide direct process safety support to Group QHSE and strengthen process safety risk management across operations. The role acts as the technical authority for process safety governance, risk studies, assurance, training and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve Group process safety policies, standards, work instructions, tools, and governance frameworks
- Lead and review process hazard and risk assessments including HAZOP, What If, LOPA, QRA, fault tree analysis, consequence modelling
- Serve as functional owner for key process safety standards, systems, and work processes
- Provide technical leadership on mechanical integrity and critical safeguards
- Lead or support SIL and SIS assessments
- Support and challenge Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Lead Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and operational readiness assessments
- Plan and participate in process safety audits, assurance reviews, and compliance assessments
- Develop process safety competence across the organization through training, coaching, mentoring
- Provide technical support during high potential process safety incident investigations
- Act as central process safety advisor and representative for Gulf Cryo
- Monitor and report process safety performance including leading indicators and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in industrial gases, petrochemical, chemical, or related process industries
- Minimum 10 years of dedicated process safety experience
- Current or previous experience in industrial gases sector strongly preferred
- Experience with Air Separation Units (ASU) and Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) facilities highly desirable
- Recognized process safety certifications such as CCPSC, CFSP, or equivalent preferred
- Strong working knowledge of CGA, EIGA, MEGA standards and applicable regulatory requirements

ROLE PURPOSE
- The Process Safety Manager provides direct process safety support to Group QHSE and works with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Distribution, Projects and country teams to strengthen process safety risk management across Gulf Cryo.
- The role acts as the technical authority for process safety governance, risk studies, assurance, training and continuous improvement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Own and continuously improve Group process safety policies, standards, work instructions, tools, and governance frameworks.
- Lead and review process hazard and risk assessments including HAZOP, What If, LOPA, QRA, fault tree analysis, consequence modelling, building siting, and public risk studies.
- Serve as the functional owner for key process safety standards, systems, and work processes.
- Provide technical leadership on mechanical integrity and critical safeguards.
- Lead or support SIL and SIS assessments.
- Support and challenge Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Lead Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and operational readiness assessments.
