About the Role
OBT is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join their Group Logistics Operations team, coordinating end-to-end logistics solutions to and from Africa.

Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across Africa
- Lead RFQs and drive pricing activities
- Collaborate with local offices and partners to ensure operational efficiency
- Review and manage customer requirements, providing proactive customer service
- Identify and execute logistics solutions for customers and OBT offices
- Participate in and prepare for business review meetings with key account customers
- Ensure compliance with company and customer policies, standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain highest service quality standards and resolve operational issues promptly
- Support local offices with complex shipment requirements and problem solving
Requirements
- Proven experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes and customer service principles
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced logistics environment
- Proactive, collaborative workstyle, taking accountability for results
- Detail oriented with strong problem solving capabilities
