Job Summary
A Grill Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking grilled foods such as meats, seafood, and vegetables while maintaining high food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to recipes and customer preferences.
Season, marinate, and portion meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables.
Control grill temperature and cooking times to ensure food is cooked properly.
Set up and stock the grill station with necessary ingredients and supplies.
Ensure all food is presented with proper portion size and plating standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the grill area and kitchen equipment.
Monitor food inventory and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, and marinating ingredients.
Required Skills
Knowledge of grilling techniques and cooking temperatures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Grill Cook, Line Cook, or Chef preferred.
Basic culinary training or food handler certificate is an advantage.
Ability to stand for long hours and work under pressure.
