Greenhouse Manager

Operations and Quality

• Coordinate harvesting, grading, packing, storage, and dispatch while maintaining product quality, freshness, consistency, and food safety.
• Manage seeds, seedlings, substrates, fertilizers, crop-protection products, packaging, spare parts, and other production inputs.
• Maintain records covering crop activities, treatments, environmental conditions, irrigation, fertilizer use, yield, quality, costs, and sustainability.
• Manage greenhouse structures, climate-control systems, irrigation systems, pumps, sensors, automation, production equipment, and preventive maintenance.

People, Budget, and Improvement

• Manage employees, growers, supervisors, technicians, seasonal workers, contractors, and service providers.
• Prepare workforce schedules, production targets, training programs, performance standards, and workplace-safety training.
• Manage labor, energy, input, maintenance, and capital costs; forecast supplies; and evaluate procurement and supplier performance.
• Analyze production data, coordinate trials, prepare management reports, develop contingency plans, and lead continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Substantial experience in greenhouse management, controlled-environment agriculture, horticulture, commercial crop production, nursery operations, or a related field is expected.
• Candidates should demonstrate expertise in crop production, climate control, irrigation, fertigation, plant nutrition, crop scheduling, plant health, and quality processes.
• Candidates should be able to lead workforces, manage contractors and budgets, analyze operational data, address emergencies, and communicate in English.

Compliance and Sustainability

• Knowledge of agricultural, food-safety, environmental, chemical-handling, labor, and workplace requirements is expected.
• The role supports water conservation, energy efficiency, nutrient management, waste reduction, responsible input use, and sustainable production.
