About This Role
Marsh Risk is recruiting a Graduate Trainee to join its Marine team in Dubai.
The role supports senior brokers with cargo placements for high-value, complex, and time-critical equipment across energy, infrastructure, construction, and industrial projects.
The role provides technical foundations and hands-on exposure to placements, stakeholder management, and live project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn marine cargo and project cargo concepts, including coverage, exclusions, clauses, shipment methods, risk factors, and documentation requirements.
- Understand how insurance supports cross-border shipments and phased project deliveries.
- Draft and issue endorsements accurately and promptly in line with agreed coverage and placement structure.
- Prepare market-facing and client-facing documentation, including summaries, confirmations, wording references, and supporting notes.
- Maintain records in internal systems and shared trackers for audit trails and smooth handovers.
- Track project cargo shipments and insurance actions, including endorsements, premiums, milestones, and outstanding information.
- Follow up on premiums, reconcile amounts due against amounts received, and escalate issues promptly.
- Support invoicing and collection by liaising with internal finance and operations stakeholders.
