About the Role

Responsibilities
- Install and repair GPS Fleet Tracking Units/Telematics Equipment into customer vehicles
- Manage GPS units’ installations/removals/transfers and ensure proper functionality
- Ensure vehicle is left in same condition as handover
- Adhere to schedules set by customer support agents and be present on time
- Use only approved tools and keep company assets in good condition
- Prepare detailed report after each customer visit and submit same day
- Troubleshoot and rectify hardware related issues
- Manage new hardware tests and report observations to technical supervisor
- Train customers’ technicians when required
- Communicate with customer 30 min prior to visit to ensure vehicle availability
Requirements
- Mandatory: Technician must be able to install all sensors (Fuel/Temperature/Door/Camera)
- Knowledge of GPS Installation is mandatory
- UAE driver's license is mandatory
- Diploma in Electronics or equivalent
- 2 Years in GPS & GPS Accessories installation

Job Summary
- Responsible for the installation and repair of GPS Fleet Tracking Units/Telematics Equipment into customer vehicles of all types.
Major Responsibilities
- Managing the GPS units’ installations / Removals / Transfers and ensuring a proper functionality of the unit by coordinating with the customer support agent.
- Making sure that the vehicle is left in the same condition it was at the handover.
- Getting restricted by the schedules set by the customer support agents and making sure to be present at the customer location on time.
- Making sure to use only the tools that are approved by the technical supervisor.
- Ensuring the tools and all the company assets are kept in good working condition.
- Always report to the technical supervisor in case of any damage or loss to any tool or asset.
- SamTech uniform cleanliness has to be maintained.
- Preparing a detailed report after each customer visit and submitting it to the customer support agent on the same day through Email.
- Troubleshoot and rectify any hardware related issues.
- Managing the new hardware tests and reporting the observations to the technical supervisor.
- Training the customers’ technicians when it is required.
- Reporting to the operations team the completed activities immediately after getting the work done.
Skills
- Mandatory: Technician must be able to install all sensors (Fuel/Temperature/Door/Camera).
- Knowledge of GPS Installation is mandatory.
- UAE driver's license is mandatory
- Knowledge of Auto Electric works / Vehicle Electrification is an added advantage.
- Basic Communication skills both verbal & written.
- Strong dedication to customer service.
- Ability to deliver the task within the deadlines.
- Ability to remain professional, confident, and patient at all times.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to work effectively and contribute value with limited direction.
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Electronics or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
- 2 Years in GPS & GPS Accessories installation.
