Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Governance Manager
to join our team!
What You'Ll Be Doing
- Define and maintain the governance framework.
- Establish and oversee governance structures, decision authorities, and Terms of Reference.
- Establish standardized codification structures.
- Ensure decisions are evidence based, controlled, and auditable.
- Integrate governance with assurance and audit to support transparency, compliance, and risk management.
- Establish and maintain configuration management for governance frameworks and artefacts, ensuring version control, traceability, and controlled change.
- Act as the primary interface with Internal and External Audit, ensuring continuous audit readiness.
- Track and drive closure of governance, assurance, and audit findings.
- Monitor governance effectiveness and drive continual improvement using quality management principles.
- Executive leadership, Assurance (Quality/HSSE/ICT), and Audit, Risk and Compliance, Program and Portfolio leadership.
- Quality based governance framework and operating model
- Delegations of Authority and decision matrices
- Committee structures and Terms of Reference
- Assurance plans and governance reporting
- Audit evidence and management responses
- Success Measures
- Clear and timely decision making
- Positive assurance and audit outcomes
- Reduced repeat findings and systemic issues
- Leadership confidence in governance effectiveness
Hat Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in: Construction, Engineering, Business, Management, Law, or a related discipline.
- 18+ years’ progressive experience in governance, quality management, assurance, audit, or related oversight roles.
- Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management.
- Postgraduate qualification desirable (e.g. MBA, MSc, or equivalent).
- Professional certification in governance, risk, audit, or quality management is advantageous.
- Experience operating within complex, regulated, or large scale program environments.
- Demonstrated capability to engage and influence senior leadership and key stakeholders.

- Proven experience establishing and operating governance frameworks.
