About the Role

  • DNV operates in a global environment with increasing geopolitical volatility and security uncertainty.
  • The Global Crisis Preparedness Lead will strengthen crisis readiness, initially for two years with potential permanence.
  • The role reports to Head of Group People Safety and Resilience and is based in Dubai.

Key Prioritized Responsibilities

  • Support the regional crisis team for GCC with on the ground decision making and execution of protective measures.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive passive defense life safety strategy for GCC.

Longer term Responsibilities

  • Monitor geopolitical developments and convert them into actionable risk insights.
  • Advise leadership during natural disasters, military conflicts, accidents, and other crises.
  • Strengthen global processes for passive defense, including escalation, hardening in place, and relocation.
  • Lead vulnerability assessments and guide protective measures.
  • Design and run crisis simulations, drills, and preparedness programs.
  • Support traveler safety in relation to developing and active crises.
  • Contribute to Group level crisis forums and risk reviews.

About You

  • You are a seasoned professional from diplomacy, military, law enforcement, government, or corporate security.
  • Direct operational experience mitigating asymmetric risks in the GCC region.
  • Proven ability to assess and reinforce leased spaces in multi tenant high rises and residential home offices.
  • Experience sourcing and managing discreet early warning and threat monitoring systems.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical risk and modern conflict dynamics.
  • Ability to translate intelligence into practical protective actions.
  • Established professional network in security, government, or international environments.
