About the Role

  • Pratt & Whitney Canada is seeking a Product Cost Optimization Project Manager to lead cost reduction strategies across the product lifecycle.
  • The primary mission will be to consolidate, track and drive total product cost optimization strategies across the enterprise for legacy and NPI products.
  • The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on site.

What will your day to day look like?

  • Lead assigned programs within Product Cost Optimization team.
  • Drive and consolidate total product cost optimization strategies across the enterprise for assigned legacy and NPI Programs.
  • Analyze the entire product lifecycle holistically to identify cost saving opportunities, from initial design to supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to maximize profitability and operational efficiency in response to rising cost escalations.
  • Promote the adoption of simplified design methodologies, such as Design to Cost (D2C) and Design for Manufacturing (D4M).
  • Negotiate and optimize supplier contracts to secure better financial terms and value.
  • Streamline production processes by leveraging automation and emerging technologies.
  • Track and monitor optimization initiatives to protect and enhance the company's profit margins.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • Between 7 and 10 years of experience
  • Experience in procurement, business analysis or cost analysis is considered an asset.
  • Experience in project management
  • This position requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms, and to communicate with international colleagues.
