  • The Product Owner, Product Data (Aftermarket) is responsible for translating business needs into prioritized data capabilities, processes, and system enhancements that support high quality product data across Pratt & Whitney Canada Aftermarket.
  • This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, the Product Data Manager, and IT/Digital delivery teams.
  • The Product Owner owns the backlog for product data–related initiatives, including data quality improvements, discrepancy investigation, tooling, and system integrations across ERP, MRO, CRM, and downstream platforms.

What you will do: Product Ownership & Backlog Management

  • Own and manage the product backlog for product data capabilities supporting aftermarket operations & analytics under the strategic leadership of the Senior Manager of Product Data.
  • Translate business requirements from MRO, Finance, Customer Support, Engineering, and Data Governance into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Structure backlog items with business value, estimated effort and dependencies.
  • Define MVPs and phased delivery approaches for data governance, quality, and remediation solutions.
  • Partner with IT and Digital delivery teams to ensure timely and high quality execution.

Product Data Governance Enablement

  • Support the implementation of product data standards, definitions, reference structures, and quality rules defined by the Senior Manager, Product Data Management.
  • Ensure governance workflows, approval processes, and decision authorities are effectively enabled through systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with data stewards to ensure governance requirements are practical, scalable, and embedded in daily operations.
  • Help ensure product data solutions support audit readiness and regulatory compliance needs.

Data Quality & Discrepancy Resolution Support

  • Enable tooling and workflows to support structured investigation and resolution of product data discrepancies across ERP, MRO, CRM, engineering references, and legacy systems.
  • Partner with data stewards and analysts to identify recurring data quality pain points and systemic issues.
  • Translate root cause findings into product enhancements, automation opportunities, and preventive controls.
  • Ensure traceability, documentation, and reporting requirements are incorporated into system designs.

Process, Tools & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement of product data processes through system enhancements, automation, and standardization.
  • Support deployment and optimization of data management tools, workflow engines, and data quality dashboards.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and data migrations to ensure strong data validation and governance requirements are met.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback to inform future enhancements.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a key point of contact for business stakeholders requesting product data capabilities or enhancements.
  • Facilitate alignment across MRO Operations, Finance, Customer Support, Engineering, Data Governance, and IT.
  • Clearly communicate priorities, delivery timelines, trade offs, and outcomes to stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Product Data Management with insights, metrics, and recommendations for roadmap decisions.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting data, ERP, or operational systems.
  • Experience working with data, data governance, or data quality processes in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Strong experience translating complex business requirements into actionable system and process solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Experience in aerospace engine aftermarket, MRO, or asset intensive industries.
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), MRO platforms, CRM, or product data models.
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks, MDM platforms, or data quality tools.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, or regulatory driven data requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work laterally across business units and corporate functions to achieve universal results.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem solving abilities, system thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of RTX’s Core Operating System.
