About Gulf Associates

Gulf Associates is a management consultancy built around the commercial decisions that move enterprises forward in the Gulf region.

We advise boards, family groups, and international investors on the choices that define their regional success, from market entry and complex partnerships to long-term governance transitions.

Our approach is direct.

We focus on the commercial call itself rather than producing expansive reports.

This means reading how counterparties and regulators actually behave and understanding the sequence of events over the coming years.

Because we maintain a small book of active engagements, our senior team stays deeply involved in the work from first contact through to the commercial outcome.

Every position at the firm is fully remote, allowing us to bring together specialists who understand different sectors and regional dynamics without being tied to a single physical hub.

We are currently looking for a Generated Content Editor to join our team.

This role is fundamental to how we process information and prepare briefings that help our clients navigate the complex economic landscape of the Middle East.

In this role

The Generated Content Editor role exists to bridge the gap between high volume data processing and the refined, discreet advice for which our firm is known.

We utilize advanced tools to gather regional insights and draft initial assessments, but these outputs require a human eye to ensure they meet our standards for logic and clarity.

You will be responsible for taking raw, machine assisted drafts and turning them into concise, professional documents that a board member or a family office principal can use to make a decision.

This is not a typical proofreading job.

You will need to understand the commercial context of our work and ensure that the tone is professional and authoritative.

You will spend your time identifying inconsistencies in regional research and refining the way we describe complex partnerships.

Your work helps ensure that our internal knowledge stays sharp and that our communication remains grounded in reality rather than corporate fluff.

What You Will Do

  • Review and edit text generated by internal tools to ensure it matches the firm standard for professional prose.
  • Fact check details regarding regional expansion, counterparty history, and sovereign capital movements.
  • Simplify complex research findings into clear, direct summaries for senior advisors.
  • Map out the relationships between regional entities based on the information provided in research drafts.
  • Identify logical gaps in automatically gathered data and flag them for the research team.
  • Ensure all internal briefings maintain a consistent tone that avoids jargon and focuses on commercial outcomes.
  • Update internal databases to reflect the most current sequences of events in active regional projects.
  • What you bring
  • Success in this position comes down to a clear head and an eye for detail.
  • We need someone who naturally prefers simple words over complicated ones.
  • You should have a strong grasp of English grammar and the ability to spot a logical error from a distance.
  • While you do not need years of consultancy experience, you should have a genuine interest in economics and how businesses operate within the Gulf region.
  • You are someone who enjoys the process of refining a thought until it is as clear as possible.
  • Being grounded is important here.
  • You will need to be comfortable working in a quiet, remote environment where the quality of your output is the primary measure of success.
  • You should be the kind of person who double checks their work before passing it on, understanding that even small mistakes can have implications in high stakes advisory.
  • If you enjoy reading about market dynamics and have a talent for organizing information, you will find this work rewarding.
  • Our way of working
  • Work at Gulf Associates is professional and highly discreet.
  • We do not have a loud office or constant meetings.
  • Instead, we rely on clear written communication and a shared commitment to getting the job done right.
  • We value reasoning and logic over hierarchy.
  • If a junior member of the team sees a flaw in a commercial call, we want to hear it.
  • This openness is the only way we can provide the best advice to our clients.
  • Because we are fully remote, we place a high value on self discipline.
  • You will have a lot of autonomy in how you manage your day, provided the work is completed to our standards.
  • We do not use corporate buzzwords or performative gestures.
  • We focus on the facts and the commercial outcomes for the families and investors we serve.
  • It is a serious environment, but it is also one where quality work is recognized and specialized knowledge is built over time.
  • What you get
  • A fully remote working environment with no requirement to visit a physical office.
  • Direct exposure to the reasoning behind major commercial decisions in the Gulf.
  • A professional atmosphere that values quiet focus and clear thinking.
  • Opportunities to develop deep expertise in regional economics and sovereign capital.
  • Support from a senior team that prioritizes mentoring and professional development.
  • Competitive compensation for a full time, permanent position.
