Overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, medical histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based practices
• Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with DoH – Abu Dhabi regulations
• Request, review, and interpret laboratory investigations, imaging, and other diagnostic tests as required
• Provide preventive healthcare, health education, and lifestyle counseling to patients
• Assess and manage common chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, thyroid disorders, and other primary care conditions
• Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of professional competence and DoH licensing requirements
• Recognize emergency medical conditions and provide appropriate initial management and referral when required
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when clinically indicated and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient medical records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Ensure compliance with DoH – Abu Dhabi regulations, infection prevention and control standards, patient safety requirements, and clinical policies

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized and accredited medical institution
• Valid DoH – Abu Dhabi License or DoH Eligibility Letter as a General Practitioner
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a General Practitioner
• UAE healthcare experience is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred
• Experience in a clinic, medical center, or primary healthcare setting is preferred
