- Experience in OPD or clinical nursing
- Competency in nursing procedures (nebulization, injections, etc.)
- Knowledge of JCIA/CBAHI standards

Role Overview
- Assuming responsibility and accountability of specific assigned clinic/area using collaborative approach to ensure patients receive expected care/service.
- OPD Nurse acts as liaison facilitating collaboration between physician, patients, family and interdisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures readiness and arrangement of clinic/assigned area (environment cleanliness/supplies) on a daily basis.
- Assists Physician in examining the patient.
- Receives calls, clarification and answer as needed.
- Organizes patient flow to and from the clinic.
- Ensures all required documents are completed (claims/referral etc.).
- Tracks patient status and assists as needed.
- Communicates with lab/radiology and other departments as needed.
- Checks vital signs and documents properly.
- Refers findings/observations to treating doctors immediately.
- Carries out doctor orders in a timely manner.
- Processes admission and referral accurately and timely.
- Performs nursing procedures including nebulization, medication administration (IM injection), Gluco check.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Provides patient/family education as per their needs.
- Adheres to nursing documentation policy.
- Initiates emergency and resuscitative measures as needed.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintains required mandatory, general and specific competencies.
- Adheres to JCIA/CBAHI Standards.
- Attends departmental education/training activities and meetings.
- Adheres to infection control principles and HMG Nursing Dress Code policy.
- Handles department machines/equipment: Dinamap, pulse oximeter, crash cart, resuscitation equipment, Fat Analyzer.
- Participates in person centered care initiatives.
- Enriches patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
- Performs other applicable tasks assigned by Charge Nurse.
