Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the ER nursing team during assigned shifts
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Assess, prioritize, and monitor critically ill or injured patients using triage principles
- Provide direct nursing care and assist during emergency procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Delegate tasks and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff
- Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources based on patient acuity
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and nursing records
- Mentor, support, and evaluate nursing staff
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies, trauma cases, and disaster situations
