Responsibilities
- Provide advanced and specialized nursing care to patients within a defined clinical area (e.g., ICU, oncology, renal, OR, or emergency department)
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate complex patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor patients with acute, chronic, or high risk conditions and respond to clinical changes promptly
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized procedures according to protocols and best practices
- Interpret diagnostic tests and collaborate with physicians on treatment adjustments
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care requirements
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for junior nurses and healthcare staff
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, infection control policies, and hospital regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical research activities
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in medical records systems

Job Description
- A Nurse Specialist is an advanced practice nurse who provides expert clinical care within a specific area of nursing practice, such as critical care, oncology, dialysis, cardiology, emergency care, or perioperative services.
- The role combines direct patient care, clinical leadership, and evidence based practice to improve patient outcomes and support healthcare teams.
