Requisition ID 9089 - Posted - more than 5 years Job Purpose: Execute various financial and controlling accounting activities in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies and procedures; and ensure effective/ efficient operating cost control, risk management and governance processes.
Scope: Provide and conduct analysis of financial information, consolidate corporate budget and actual cost to enable effective decision making and support the business in the commercial environment in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Company’s accounting policies and procedures.
Perform various accounting tasks such as manage GL and control systems of Cost Accounting, SAP FI/CO/IM/PS, Business Intelligence (BI), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Finance Portal and Safety Management System.
Duties And Responsibilities
Manage and appropriately coordinate month and year-end closing activities.
Close account book in a timely and accurate manner.
Conduct GL and bank accounts reconciliations.
Maintain parallel balancing accounts and minimize entries adjustments.
Control, coordinate, consolidate and continually improve financial and cost accounting policies and procedures to produce timely and accurate forecasts, plans and budgets.
Develop cost accounting and reporting systems.
Assist in preparing the departmental business, operating plans and capital expenditure budget, in alignment with the key functional goals.
Provides data and other information to Government and internal/external auditors to satisfy them that the accounting procedures and standards meet requirements.
Conduct variance analysis between actual cost and budgeted cost when required.
Prepare cost of sales, operating cost and other cost with timely and accurate completion.
Perform analysis and create reports concerning inventory costs.
Perform reporting variances and supporting analysis in costing system.
Prepare the actual cost comparing with budgeted cost.
Prepare and input actual, forecast and budget reports.
Prepare the costing models in order to estimate product cost, margins and expenditures.
Provide management with reports summarizing expenses.
Prepare necessary month and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.
Make recommendation and implements proper costing systems in order to accomplish managements cost goals.
Prepare and upload the yearly Budget to SAP CO.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for FI vs CO in SAP.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Accounting Advisory Superintendent.
Expected Results: Financial and Cost Accounting activities are implemented appropriately and in accordance with SATORP policies and regulations.
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS (Context and environment) Internal: Supervisor Accounting Advisory, Performance Advisor, Project and Asset Accountant, Senior Financial Advisor, and other SATORP Organizations.
External: Saudi Arabian Government Agencies, SAP Consultants, External Auditors and Tax Advisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications / experience required) Main Competencies and Qualities: Excellent Knowledge in SAP Finance Modules: FI, CO, IM & PM.
Excellent knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Excellent Knowledge in analysis of business operations, cost accounting in a refinery and reporting system.
Excellent knowledge in the preparation and analysis of IFRS and SOCPA financial statements.
Conversant of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent knowledge of Saudi Arabian government financial regulations.
Excellent to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
Excellent knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Excellent knowledge of accounting for CAPEX, fixed assets.
Excellent knowledge of oil stock and sales.
Capable of giving strong attention to details.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Strong analytical ability.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong command of oral and written English.
Education
Background : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Experience: Five 5 years of related experience, of which at least Three (3) years in an industrial environment.
