Responsibilities
- Refine and own the fund's investment thesis, sector allocation, and geographic focus
- Lead end to end deal origination, structuring, due diligence, and execution across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and venture opportunities
- Build and manage a high conviction, diversified portfolio targeting risk adjusted returns consistent with emerging market institutional benchmarks
- Drive disciplined capital deployment within the fund's investment period, maintaining rigorous underwriting standards
- Establish and oversee a robust risk framework encompassing country risk, currency risk, liquidity, and ESG considerations
- Monitor portfolio companies and positions; lead active value creation and exit management processes
- Partner with the CEO in LP engagement, fund marketing, and closing activities
- Serve as primary investment contact for institutional LPs, sovereign wealth funds, DFIs, family offices, and pension funds
- Prepare and present quarterly and annual investor reporting, including performance attribution and portfolio updates
- Ensure full compliance with Qatari regulatory requirements and applicable fund governance standards
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience in fund management, private equity, private credit, infrastructure investing, or equivalent senior investment roles
- Proven track record managing or co managing funds of USD 200M or above, with documented investment performance
- Substantial exposure to Africa or frontier/emerging market investment; direct deal experience on the continent is strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role (CIO, Fund Manager, Partner, or MD equivalent) within an institutional investment platform
- English — full professional proficiency (mandatory)
- Arabic — full professional proficiency (mandatory); ability to lead investor conversations, negotiate, and present in Arabic is essential
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a globally recognized institution (MBA, MSc, MPhil, or equivalent)
- CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred

Role Overview
- The Fund Manager will serve as the principal investment decision maker and portfolio steward for the fund. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Investment Committee, this role carries full accountability for fund strategy execution, portfolio construction, risk management, LP relations, and deploym

- Collaborate with legal, tax, and compliance advisors on fund structuring and ongoing regulatory matters
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience in fund management, private equity, private credit, infrastructure investing, or equivalent senior investment roles
- Proven track record managing or co managing funds of USD 200M or above, with documented investment performance
- Substantial exposure to Africa or frontier/emerging market investment; direct deal experience on the continent is strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role (CIO, Fund Manager, Partner, or MD equivalent) within an institutional investment platform
- English — full professional proficiency (mandatory)
- Arabic — full professional proficiency (mandatory); ability to lead investor conversations, negotiate, and present in Arabic is essential
- Deep understanding of alternative investment structures — closed end funds, co investments, SPVs, blended finance
- Solid command of financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and risk analytics
- Familiarity with digital finance, tokenization, or data driven investment processes is a distinct advantage
- Exposure to ESG frameworks and impact measurement in emerging market contexts
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a globally recognized institution (MBA, MSc, MPhil, or equivalent)
- CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred
