Function Head - Finance & Accounting

Role Overview

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead FP&A, accounting, tax, and treasury with strategic oversight, direction, and governance.
• Manage Finance business plans, manpower plans, departmental budgets, KPIs, and performance accountability.
• Drive finance process automation through Yardi, Power BI dashboards, and AI-assisted reporting.
• Lead multi-function governance and performance reporting to the CFO and VP Support Services.

Reporting, Compliance and Treasury

• Oversee financial statements under IFRS and Saudi GAAP and consolidated reporting for URED and subsidiaries.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, Zakat, WHT, and ZATCA e-invoicing requirements.
• Lead statutory audits, external auditor relationships, audit findings, and continuous audit readiness.
• Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, credit facilities, investment performance, and capital allocation.

Business Partnering and People Leadership

• Provide analysis for property acquisitions, development feasibility, lease pricing, capital allocation, budgets, and cost controls.
• Present financial performance, forecasts, risk exposure, treasury positions, and strategic analysis to leadership and the Board.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team through capability planning, appraisals, succession planning, and training.
• Promote a high-performance, compliance-conscious, and continuous-improvement culture.

Authority and KPIs

• Review and validate payment requests up to SAR 500,000 per transaction, with final approval retained by the CEO.
• Approve departmental operating expenditure within the approved budget, team leave, appraisals, and headcount plans.
• Deliver monthly statements by the tenth working day and complete annual budget submissions on schedule.
• Maintain regulatory filing compliance, avoid material audit qualifications, implement process improvements, and maintain Power BI dashboards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is required.
• A master's degree in business administration or finance is advantageous.
• Minimum 10–12 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Experience in real estate, property management, or a closely related sector.
• Knowledge of IFRS, Saudi GAAP, VAT, Zakat, and WHT regulations.

Technical Skills and Tools

• Experience leading audits and managing external auditors and regulators.
• Experience driving financial process transformation and team capability development.
• Mastery of Yardi finance, budgeting, reporting, fixed asset, and lease administration modules.
• Advanced Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, Power Query, and dynamic forecasting skills.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted finance tools, Wrike, DocuSign or equivalent, and Microsoft Teams.
