Position Summary
- The Marketing Lecturer delivers high quality teaching in marketing and business, fostering creativity, strategic thinking, and data driven decision making.
- The role involves curriculum development, student assessment, and staying current with market trends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, seminars, demonstrations, and laboratory classes.
- Administer and assess examinations, quizzes, assignments, projects, and laboratory work.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to support student learning.
- Maintain regular consultation hours and provide academic guidance and mentoring.
- Contribute to improvements in teaching quality and assessment practice.
- Oversee and support faculty in implementing high quality teaching practices.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring across the student lifecycle.
- Develop initiatives to improve student engagement, retention, and progression.
- Coordinate internships, industry placements, capstone projects, and experiential learning.
- Support strategies to strengthen student employability and career readiness.
- Maintain an active research and scholarly agenda.
- Promote research collaboration across Curtin global campus and external partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Doctoral degree in Marketing or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Active research portfolio with publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated high quality experience in teaching and/or industry.
- Ability to develop rapport with diverse students.
- Experience working with a diverse range of students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location and Work Environment
- This position is a full time on campus role.
