- Design and develop responsive, scalable web applications using React Hooks, TypeScript, and State Management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API)
- Implement complex mapping features using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (4.x), including 2D/3D visualizations, feature layers, and spatial queries
- Build and extend custom widgets for ArcGIS Experience Builder (Developer Edition) to meet unique business requirements
- Optimize interaction with ArcGIS REST APIs and Feature Services to minimize latency and improve geometry rendering performance
- Utilize the Esri Calcite Design System to ensure consistent, accessible, and user centric design across all geospatial tools
- Partner with GIS Analysts and Stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and lead code reviews for junior developers
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with React (Functional Components, Hooks) and modern front end build tools like Vite or Webpack
- Proven expertise in the Esri Ecosystem, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Pro
- Deep knowledge of ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, including spatial analysis, geoprocessing services, and OAuth 2.0 authentication
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems (WGS84, Web Mercator), projections, and spatial algorithms
- Proficiency in SQL (PostGIS or SQL Server) and scripting with Python (ArcPy) for data automation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or a related STEM field
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on ArcGIS web applications

Role Overview
