Role Overview
OMNIVAI is hiring engineers to take its AI-native creative products from working prototypes to production scale.
The role covers a generative platform with image, video, editing, brand, UGC, and music-video capabilities.
A second product is an AI-native editing platform planned for web, Mac, and Windows desktop applications.
Core Responsibilities
- Migrate a React and Supabase prototype into a production AWS architecture with environments, CI/CD, monitoring, and error handling.
- Build end-to-end frontend, backend, database, and API features.
- Integrate AI model APIs with asynchronous jobs, queues, retries, fallbacks, and cost tracking.
- Build and ship an Electron or Tauri desktop application with local file handling, offline behavior, auto-updates, and code signing.
- Build Stripe credit and billing flows and maintain accurate usage accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Have 4+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack web products.
- Have strong React and TypeScript skills with Node.js or Python backend experience.
- Have solid Postgres experience.
- Have taken a codebase from prototype to production through refactoring and architecture work.
- Have experience with third-party APIs, webhooks, long-running jobs, and media pipelines.
- Use disciplined Git practices and work independently.
Bonus Qualifications
- Supabase experience with RLS, edge functions, and storage is a plus.
- Desktop application experience with Electron or Tauri is a bonus.
- Production experience with AI/LLM or media-generation APIs is a bonus.
- AWS, Docker, CI/CD, FFmpeg, video or audio processing, and NLE experience are bonuses.
