Role overview
Cognizant is hiring a hands-on frontend engineering lead for the AITDS role.
The engineer will build scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications using React and integrate them with backend services and enterprise platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Build frontend applications with React.js and TypeScript.
- Create reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries.
- Optimize UI performance and user experience through lazy loading and virtualization.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services.
- Collaborate with UX, visual design, and backend teams.
- Establish frontend design patterns including MVVM, MVC, and Observer where appropriate.
- Implement authentication and authorization using OIDC and OAuth.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for frontend build and deployment.
- Write unit and integration tests and use modern developer tooling to improve quality and productivity.
Required capabilities and experience
- Have 6–10 years of software engineering experience focused on frontend development.
- Have hands-on experience with React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Have experience building reusable UI components and micro-frontend applications.
