This is a contract position
Transaction volumes across our global loyalty products are scaling rapidly, and the Risk team needs someone who wants to catch active fraud rings in real time, not just review flags in a queue.
What You'll Be Doing
You will sit at the intersection of data analysis and payment security, investigating complex transaction data and refining detection logic to protect our global travel partners. Your days will be spent querying large datasets, hunting for emerging fraud patterns, and keeping friction minimal for legitimate travelers. AI handles the first pass on variance analysis and financial risk summaries, leaving you free to focus on the complex discrepancies, root-cause investigations, and judgment calls that actually need human eyes.
What You Bring
You write complex SQL queries and joins in your sleep, pulling and manipulating disparate datasets without waiting for someone else to prepare the data for you.
You spot behavioral anomalies and hidden patterns in transaction data before they show up as spikes in chargeback metrics.
You make swift, accurate calls on queued transactions under pressure, finding the right balance between fraud prevention and user friction.
You have hands-on experience tuning rules and workflows inside platforms like Cybersource, Adyen, or Kount rather than just relying on out-of-the-box settings.
