Fra Accountant
supporting our
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- team, you will be trusted to
- maintain accurate financial records
- ,
- ensure compliance with internal controls
- , and
- deliver timely, high‑quality financial reporting
- that supports decision‑making across the organization.
- In this role, a typical day will include:
- Collaborating with local and regional finance teams to ensure accurate books of accounts, timely reporting, and adherence to internal controls.
- Maintaining financial accounting records in SAP and Excel, verifying daily transactions, and ensuring data integrity.
- Preparing and supporting internal and external financial reports, including actuals, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and management reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with SOX, AFCM, and local tax regulations, supporting audits, and maintaining required documentation.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations — including bank accounts, fixed assets, and supplier confirmations — ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
What You’ll Bring To Alcon
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Experience:
- + 2–4 years in accounting or auditing, ideally within a multinational environment.
- + Proven experience in financial controls, reconciliations, and process improvement.
- Technical Skills:
- + Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- + Solid understanding of financial systems, sub‑ledgers, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
