Role overview

Location and travel

• The role is described as remote with approximately 25% travel.
• The engineer will work directly with customers and operate in fast-moving customer environments.

Client delivery and AI implementation

• Deploy and configure agentic AI workflows, assistants, and automations in ServiceNow and enterprise ecosystems.
• Translate business requirements into architectures, implementation plans, and production-ready AI solutions.
• Support workshops, discovery sessions, demonstrations, pilots, rollouts, and stakeholder communications.
• Build demos, prototypes, proofs of concept, reusable patterns, and solution templates.

Generative AI engineering

• Build applications using Claude, the Anthropic API, and other LLM platforms.
• Apply prompt and context engineering, structured outputs, tool use, function calling, orchestration, and human review patterns.
• Build RAG solutions grounded in authorized enterprise data.
• Use validation, confidence thresholds, output schemas, fallback handling, and escalation workflows to improve reliability.

Engineering and integration

• Develop secure integrations among ServiceNow, enterprise systems, APIs, data platforms, identity systems, and AI services.
• Build scripts, microservices, automation logic, integration services, and lightweight user interfaces.
• Apply authentication, authorization, secrets management, access controls, logging, error handling, version control, and documentation.
• Design for security, scalability, maintainability, observability, and production readiness.

Quality and responsible AI

• Develop evaluations using test cases, representative datasets, success metrics, and regression testing.
• Assess relevance, accuracy, groundedness, task completion, safety, latency, cost, and user experience.
• Implement safeguards for sensitive data, permissions, prompt injection, unsafe tool use, and unintended model behavior.
• Monitor deployed solutions and document behavior, limitations, risks, governance, and support procedures.

Platform contribution

Required qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, enterprise platforms, workflow automation, or related technical delivery.
• Hands-on experience with full-stack development, scripting, APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, or cloud-native applications.
• Experience building or supporting AI/LLM applications, AI automations, conversational experiences, RAG systems, or agentic workflows.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages, plus experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience in customer-facing engineering, consulting, technical implementation, solutions architecture, or professional services.
• Ability to communicate clearly, manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, travel approximately 25%, and deliver in customer environments.

Preferred Anthropic experience

• Hands-on experience with the Anthropic API, Claude models, Anthropic Console, Claude Code, or Anthropic implementation guidance is preferred.
• Relevant Anthropic Academy learning, partner enablement, technical training, or equivalent Claude deployment experience is preferred.
