Role Overview

Serve as a subject matter expert for workshop and project rigging, movement logistics, and production process planning.

Lead work teams performing safe material lifts and movements of piping systems between workshops and projects.

Deliver work to auditable standards consistent with contract scope, statutory and code requirements, IMS procedures, design parameters, WPS, stress inputs, and vendor data.

Rigging and Material Movement

Coordinate critical lifting and rigging activities, including crane and forklift services.
Manage pipe shop and onboard piping logistics and material movements.
Ensure loads are secured and lifted according to yard safety standards.
Coordinate crane operators so materials are available before work starts.
Coordinate forklift operations for shifting pipes.

Transport and Production Coordination

Coordinate with the Production Engineer for sending pipes to blasting, painting, and galvanizing.
Coordinate with transport for outside-yard operations, including galvanizing and afloat services.
Apply engineering practices to resolve production challenges effectively and economically.
Integrate physical, human, and financial resources to support efficient production.

Manpower and Reporting

Monitor daily manpower and manhour consumption and report discrepancies to the manager.
Plan and allocate manpower according to vessel work scope.
Raise additional manpower requirements with the section manager.

Documentation and Compliance

Review piping section work instructions and risk assessments for piping activities.
Follow up vessel documentation, including technical queries, work completion forms, lessons learned, and project postmortems.
Maintain compliance with contract, statutory, code, safety, and management-system requirements.

Required Capabilities

Technical and technological problem-solving ability in production engineering processes and planning.
Wide knowledge of engineering practices related to production management.
Ability to coordinate safe lifting, piping logistics, manpower planning, and vessel documentation.
