Overview
Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions seeks a Rigging Foreman to lead rigging teams, coordinate material handling, and ensure safe lifting and movement of piping systems. The role requires expertise in production engineering, logistics, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Specializing in critical lifting and rigging activities, including crane and forklift service arrangements
- Responsible for all pipe shop and onboard piping logistics, including material movements
- Leading a rigging group to ensure loads are secure and lifted according to safety standards
- Coordinating with crane operators to ensure work schedules are not interrupted
- Coordinating forklift operations to shift pipes
- Coordinating with production engineers for pipe coating processes
- Coordinating with the transport section for outside yard operations
- Applying engineering practices to resolve production challenges
- Monitoring and reporting daily manpower and manhour consumption
- Reviewing and updating risk assessments and environmental aspects
Key Qualifications
- Experience in critical lifting and rigging activities
- Knowledge of crane and forklift service arrangements
- Ability to lead a rigging group and ensure safe material lifts
