Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and direction to site teams to ensure safe, timely, and high quality execution of activities.
- Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment in line with project plans, ensuring optimal resource utilisation and minimal downtime.
- Enforce ALEC’s safety standards and site protocols, promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and risk awareness.
- Interpret drawings and specifications, ensuring works are executed accurately and aligned with design intent.
- Monitor daily progress, identify potential delays and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity and schedule adherence.
- Drive quality assurance on site, ensuring work is delivered to the required technical and contractual standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reporting and workforce tracking, to support project performance reviews.
- Support a collaborative and disciplined work environment, motivating teams, resolving site level challenges, and escalating as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
- Apply technical expertise and discipline specific knowledge to deliver high quality outcomes within area of specialisation.
Requirements
- Qualification in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience
- 5+ years experience
- First Aider certification
- Strong practical understanding of site operations & leadership
- Skilled in task planning, team coordination, & progress monitoring
- Able to interpret technical drawings & specifications
- Clear communicator with ability to guide, direct, & manage site teams
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, & compliance
- Proficient in time management & resource planning
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exposure to QA/QC procedures, permit to work systems & site inspections
- Knowledge of local authority regulations & standards
