Job Description
The Food Safety & Quality Supervisor ensures that food is prepared, stored, and served in compliance with company standards, food safety regulations, and quality requirements.
The role monitors daily operations, conducts inspections, implements food safety programs, and maintains HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor food production and operational processes for compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Inspect kitchens, storage areas, equipment, and food preparation processes.
- Ensure compliance with municipality, health authority, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare corrective action reports.
- Monitor food temperatures through receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, holding, and serving.
- Ensure staff follow personal hygiene and food handling procedures.
- Investigate food quality and safety complaints and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct food safety training and awareness sessions.
- Maintain inspection, temperature, cleaning, and corrective action records.
- Work with Operations, Kitchen, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to improve food safety performance.
- Monitor product quality, shelf life, labeling, and FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
