Role overview
The Food & Beverage Associate - In-Room Dining provides prompt, professional, and personalized food and beverage service to hotel guests in their rooms.
The role covers accurate order taking, timely delivery, proper presentation, billing, cleanliness, and guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Answer in-room dining calls and take orders accurately.
- Explain menus, ingredients, promotions, and estimated delivery times.
- Enter orders into the hotel ordering system and coordinate preparation with the kitchen.
- Set up, verify, and deliver food and beverages according to hotel standards.
- Clear trays and service equipment from guest rooms and corridors.
- Process guest bills, payments, and charges accurately.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, complaints, special requests, VIP amenities, and preferences.
- Assist with opening, closing, and stock-taking procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in in-room dining, room service, or food and beverage is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards is expected.
- Communication, telephone etiquette, organization, and order-taking skills are expected.
- Candidates should be professional, guest-focused, reliable, courteous, and willing to learn.
- The role requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Work environment
- The work is performed in a hotel in-room dining operation and requires on-site guest service.
- The role operates in a fast-paced environment and follows food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
