Job Purpose

Roles, Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement sustainability initiatives in alignment with company policies and industry standards to ensure environmental stewardship across all managed facilities.
• Collaborate with multiple departments within Operations - IFM to promote sustainable practices and foster a culture of environmental awareness.
• Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics such as energy usage, waste management, and water conservation to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead training and awareness programs to educate staff and stakeholders on sustainability goals and practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends related to facility sustainability to recommend innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards pertinent to facility management operations.

Qualification

• The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Environmental Science, Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field, with certification or additional qualifications in sustainability or energy management considered an asset. A comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations and sustainable development practices is essential. Capacity for strategic planning, along with the ability to manage projects that balance operational demands with sustainability goals, is required.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and generate sustainable solutions, coupled with a commitment to continuous professional development in the evolving sustainability landscape, are highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive mindset, willing to take initiative in driving environmental improvements within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Experience & Skills

• Candidates should possess proven experience in facility management with a significant focus on sustainability initiatives, ideally within integrated facility management environments. Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sustainability strategies, managing environmental projects, and coordinating across diverse teams is crucial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively engage with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and shared objectives. The role demands flexibility to adapt to evolving operational and regulatory requirements while maintaining motivation and professionalism.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, sustainability reporting frameworks, and project management software enhances effectiveness in this role. Decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills are paramount to navigate complex challenges and optimize resource use while achieving sustainability commitments.
