B.Eng. or B.Sc. (Eng.), or CET (Diploma in Engineering Technology), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn.
Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer, or CET, is desirable.
Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and standards, and military aircraft modification processes is an asset.
Experience in an aircraft engineering environment is an asset. Possess clear and effective written and oral communication skills. Good project management skills.
Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with people at all levels, both within the organization and those in outside agencies.
Must possess good self-discipline with an ability to work independently when required.
Must possess an ability to logically assimilate information and identify related causal factors, as well as to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
Experience with one or more of the following is not necessary but will be considered an asset: Aircraft structures, Mechanical systems, Mechanical design, Composite structures, CAD, Aircraft component manufacturing processes, Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection
