The Role

Halvion is seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet Maintenance Manager.

The role oversees fleet maintenance operations, vehicle reliability, preventive maintenance programs, repair activities, and maintenance costs.

The manager coordinates internal teams, workshops, suppliers, and service providers to maximize fleet availability and performance.

Work Arrangement

  • The position is fully remote and based in the United Arab Emirates.
  • The employment type is full-time.
  • The role requires the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Maintenance Operations

  • Develop and manage comprehensive fleet maintenance strategies.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, reliability, operational readiness, and fleet downtime.
  • Establish maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations and operating conditions.
  • Coordinate inspections, servicing, repairs, and major overhauls.
  • Analyze vehicle breakdowns and recurring mechanical issues.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Records, Costs, and Performance

  • Monitor fleet maintenance costs, budgets, and expenditure.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records for all fleet assets.
  • Monitor vehicle service history, mileage, operating hours, and maintenance intervals.
  • Track key maintenance KPIs and fleet performance indicators.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, cost analyses, and operational dashboards.
  • Use maintenance data to identify trends and improve fleet reliability.

Suppliers and Parts

  • Coordinate with workshops, mechanics, dealers, and external service providers.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party maintenance contractors.
  • Negotiate service agreements, repair costs, and maintenance contracts.
  • Coordinate procurement of spare parts, components, tires, lubricants, and maintenance supplies.
  • Monitor spare-parts inventory and availability.

Compliance and Improvement

  • Implement maintenance procedures, standards, and operating guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle safety requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Support fleet inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices across maintenance operations.
  • Investigate vehicle incidents and maintenance-related failures.
  • Develop initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and extend asset lifespan.
  • Evaluate vehicle replacement and lifecycle-maintenance requirements.

Leadership and Systems

  • Work with Fleet and Operations teams to minimize service disruptions.
  • Support implementation of fleet management, maintenance, and tracking systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to maintenance personnel.
  • Develop team performance objectives and support employee development.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation and compliance records remain up to date.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Fleet Management, Transport Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, automotive maintenance, transportation, equipment maintenance, or a related environment.
  • Proven experience managing vehicle maintenance operations and maintenance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic systems.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

Additional Requirements

  • Familiarity with fleet management, CMMS, ERP, or maintenance-tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong vendor, workshop, supplier-management, leadership, and team-management capabilities.
  • Good understanding of vehicle safety and maintenance compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • UAE or GCC fleet-management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Relevant automotive, fleet, engineering, or maintenance certifications are welcome but not required.
