• Know extraction, distillation, emulsion, and spray dry technologies; assist and trouble shoot in the production of these materials.
• Analyze flavours and market products for flavour duplication projects.
• Work with QC, planning, and production on issues related to citrus ingredients and finished flavours.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Additional course work or seminar in flavour creations, flavour analysis, flavour applications (preferred)
• Minimum 7 years hands-on flavour training and creation, or Certification from the Society Of Flavour Chemists · Good background in organic chemistry, food chemistry, flavour applications.
• Good math skills for problem-solving calculations.
• Demonstrates strong and discerning sense of smell and taste.
• Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines
