Role Overview
• Carry out general maintenance on packing machinery
• Fault-finding & repair on packing machinery and processing plant
• Planned Preventative Maintenance routines on packing machinery & processing plant
• To work under & report using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maximo
• To liaise with the Production Management team to achieve production and maintenance targets
• To liaise with Engineering stores/planner regarding parts/spares
• To operate within Company Health and Safety policies
• To maintain Company housekeeping standards
• City & Guilds / BTEC or equivalent
• Time served Apprentice is beneficial
• 3 years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance environment
• Multi –skilled engineer with a strong foundation in Electrical engineering is preferred with Experience using PLC and pneumatic systems an advantage.
• Experience within an automated production plant
• Experience in packaging machinery/ food manufacturing environment, working within a lean environment
• Fully skilled in electrical fault-finding & repair of equipment
• Proactive initiative in maintenance & asset reliability
• Ability to read engineering diagrams
• Experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and proven organisational skills
