Role Purpose
Manage and maintain the fixed assets accounting function.
Ensure accurate asset records, compliance with accounting standards and policies, and effective control over capital expenditures and fixed assets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets register.
- Review asset capitalization requests and process transfers, disposals, and write-offs.
- Verify fixed assets periodically and investigate discrepancies.
- Review CAPEX requests and monitor capital projects through timely capitalization.
- Prepare reports and analysis for CAPEX, depreciation, and fixed assets.
- Calculate and review depreciation expenses.
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations.
- Recommend process improvements, strengthen controls, and coordinate asset tracking with other departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in fixed assets accounting.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Experience with Oracle ERP, preferably Oracle Financials or Fixed Assets modules.
- Strong knowledge of fixed assets accounting, CAPEX, depreciation, and asset reconciliation.
- Good understanding of accounting standards and internal control procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
