Firefighter (call-off)

Role Overview

Emergency Response

• Mobilize promptly for emergency call-offs, planned standby, or shift coverage.
• Respond to fires, alarms, gas releases, chemical spills, rescue incidents, vehicle incidents, marine incidents, and other industrial emergencies.
• Perform firefighting, prevention, rescue, casualty handling, and hazard-control activities.

Medical and Rescue Support

• Provide basic first aid, CPR, and immediate assistance to injured personnel within the scope of training.
• Support hot-work standby, confined-space rescue, emergency drills, and large-scale exercises.

Equipment and Systems

• Operate firefighting vehicles, SCBA, rescue equipment, extinguishers, hoses, hydrants, foam systems, and deluge systems.
• Inspect, test, clean, maintain, and restore firefighting equipment and vehicles to operational readiness.
• Perform hydrant flow checks, hose testing, equipment inspections, and fire protection system checks.

Monitoring and Documentation

• Inspect facilities and areas, identify hazards, and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Monitor fire alarm panels and emergency communication systems and perform assigned control-room duties.
• Maintain daily reports, inspection records, and emergency response documentation.

Training and Compliance

• Train and coach new firefighters and support SCBA, confined-space, firefighting, and emergency response training.
• Maintain personal readiness, fitness, and availability for short-notice mobilization.
• Comply with HSE policies, applicable legislation, international standards, best practices, and ADNOC requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of firefighter experience is required, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical, or hazardous chemical facilities.
• Experience in industrial firefighting, HAZMAT, rescue operations, SCBA, and emergency response is required.
• Knowledge of fire prevention, suppression, first aid, CPR, and rescue techniques is required.
• A UAE driving license is required; an HGV license is preferred.
• Physical fitness and flexibility for demanding emergency conditions and short-notice call-offs are required.
