Job Overview
The Finance Controller will oversee the financial management of Facilities Management (FM) contracts, ensuring effective control over budgeting, profitability, invoicing, and financial reporting.
The role involves monitoring project-level P&L, managing costs and receivables, and providing accurate financial insights to support operational and commercial decision-making.
The Finance Controller will also ensure compliance with financial policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements while working closely with operational teams to optimize contract performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial performance of Facilities Management (FM) contracts including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
- Monitor project-level
P&L
- and analyze revenue streams to improve margins.
- Oversee client invoicing including monthly billing, milestone invoices, variations, and additional works.
- Monitor operational costs related to manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
- Track accounts receivable, follow up on collections, and support cash flow planning.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L statements, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, audit requirements, and VAT regulations.
- Review financial aspects of contracts and support commercial discussions when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- **5–8 years of finance experience**
- , preferably in Facilities Management, Construction, or Property Management.
- Strong experience in
- project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- .
- Experience handling
- invoicing, cost control, AR, and financial reporting
- .
- Knowledge of
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- .
- Professional certification such as
ACCA, CPA, or CMA
- is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
