Finance Director

Role Overview

Strategic Finance and Commercial Support

• Partner with XXL project leadership by providing financial insight, challenge, performance management, and strategic support.
• Support value-based pricing, commercial propositions, variation discussions, claim management, entitlements, progress payments, and customer negotiations.
• Ensure proper integration between Vanderlande Industries and Vanderlande Logistics and promote shared finance best practices.

Leadership, FP&A, and Improvement

• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team and support capability-building during finance process and systems transformation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, accurate group reporting, and performance monitoring for the XXL project.
• Drive cost control, advanced analytics, reporting automation, process standardization, and continuous improvement.

Governance and Transformation

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements.
• Coordinate audits, implement audit recommendations, conduct risk assessments, and establish mitigation plans.
• Represent finance in sustainability, digitalization, organizational development, and broader transformation initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• 10–15 or more years of relevant experience in an international company, preferably in a business-to-business and project-oriented environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Experience in regional or international finance, business partnering, sales-focused environments, and commercial finance.
• Ability to influence across complex matrix organizations and communicate effectively across cultures and geographies.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required; Power BI and other regional languages are advantageous.
• Fluent English is required.
