The Finance Director is a part-time remote role overseeing financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
The role provides financial insights and analysis to support decision-making by senior leadership and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Identify risks and opportunities and improve financial processes and controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial matters.
- Support strategic initiatives with data-driven analysis.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide recommendations.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Proficiency preparing and reviewing accurate, compliant financial statements.
- Expertise in financial reporting, including reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal control best practices.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial modeling tools such as Excel or similar software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including presenting financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications such as CPA or CFA, or an MBA, are beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities and deadlines.
