Role overview
The Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the organization’s compliance framework and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
The role supports a general contracting business and is described as part-time and remote.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.
- Review business practices and contracts, conduct internal assessments, and prepare leadership reports.
- Provide regulatory guidance and training and coordinate responses to inquiries and audits.
- Work with finance and operations to maintain effective controls and monitor regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in compliance management and regulatory compliance, including building and overseeing compliance programs.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for risk assessment, policy drafting, reporting, and collaboration.
- Foundational finance knowledge related to transactions, reporting, and controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or a related field.
- Compliance or risk management certification is advantageous.
- Construction or contracting experience and familiarity with local regulations are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain high ethical standards in a remote, part-time role.
