Responsibilities
- Perform on site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of variable speed drives systems and synchronous/induction motors, generators, excitation & AVR systems
- Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance
- Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets, and expense sheets
- Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites
- Maintain strong safety mindset to ensure executed work reflects technical requirements within GE safety standards
- Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and reference for future outages
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (Electrical Engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of field service experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial motors, generators, or Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time
- Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
- Strong customer service mindset
- Prior field engineering experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions

Job Description Summary
- The Field Engineer will be responsible for onsite installation of motors and variable speed drives systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation. And provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation,
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on site installation, Commissioning, refurbishment, Startup, Maintenance, Trouble Shooting & Upgrading of Variable speed drives systems (VSI, Static Var Compensation, Static Frequency Controllers) and synchronous and induction motors, generators, excitation & AVR systems
- Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites.
- Writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis.
- Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
- Maintain strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
- Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (Electrical Engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of field service experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial motors, generators, or Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required
