About the Role
Schneider Electric seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform testing and commissioning of protection relays and substation HV/LV equipment in Saudi Arabia. The role requires expertise in relay protection, substation testing, and client liaison.

Responsibilities
- Study contractual scope, specifications, standards, electrical scheme drawings, and interface engineering
- Prepare site test procedures and test formats per manufacturer recommendations and applicable standards
- Plan and schedule testing and commissioning activities
- Perform testing of protection relays and substation electrical HV/LV equipment
- Test vacuum reclosers, pad mounted step up transformers, instrument transformers, surge arresters, switchboard, grounding system, and relay protection systems
- Develop and execute substation equipment test procedures
- Provide technical instruction and mentoring to field testing technicians
- Ensure compliance of testing QA/QC process
- Liaise with clients and act independently on technical matters
- Issue documentation of test results and certification for energization
Requirements
- Experience in testing of protection relays and substation electrical HV/LV equipment
- Knowledge of vacuum reclosers, pad mounted transformers, instrument transformers, surge arresters, switchboard, grounding systems
- Ability to develop and execute substation equipment test procedures
- Experience in testing & commissioning departmental and project requirements
- Strong client liaison and independent technical decision making skills

Job Description

- Testing of vacuum reclosers, pad mounted step up transformers, instrument transformers (PT/CT), surge arresters, switchboard, grounding system, and relay protection systems.
- Ensures performance of all field testing on substation equipment accurately and safely.
- Develop and execute substation equipment test procedures.
- Provide technical instruction, mentoring, guidance to field testing technicians.
- Develop testing & commissioning departmental and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance of testing QA/QC process.
- Regularly meet and liaise with clients; act independently on technical matters.
- Consults with client on testing and commissioning projects.
- Maintains excellent relationship with client and field personnel.
