Role Overview
Waters is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the growth of its scientific instrumentation and services business.
The role acts as a customer-facing ambassador for Waters products and services and converts customer needs into solutions supporting customer success.
The position is territory-based and involves substantial field work.
Field Service Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Waters product systems including LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, SFC, and Informatics.
- Establish customer relationships, manage expectations, communicate completed work, and provide follow-up plans when needed.
- Deliver system-level training at customer sites and ensure customer compliance requirements are followed.
- Manage service inventory, issue daily field service reports, and maintain knowledge of technology and customer applications.
- Work with Sales to identify future business development opportunities and service contract needs.
- Follow quality system procedures and Health and Safety standards.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, another science-related field, or equivalent experience, training, and education is desired.
