Groupe Dynamite is seeking a Fashion Designer to create trend-forward assortments for the GARAGE and DYNAMITE brands. The role involves translating trends into product lines, collaborating with technical designers and production teams, and maximizing sales.

Responsibilities
- Translate vision and emerging trends into assigned product lines based on concept direction
- Maximize sales and gross profits, minimize shuffles and unplanned markdowns (with Product Manager)
- Create and coordinate multiple pieces that satisfy clientele and correspond to brand image
- Work with technical designers, patternmakers, and fit technicians to ensure clothing meets specifications
- Build relationship with Buying team to foster innovative, relevant, and fashion forward designs
- Build relationship with Production team considering manufacturing limitations while pushing quality and lead time
- Research and develop new fabrics, washes, trims, and finishes within cost constraints
- Adhere to design calendar
- Shop international and domestic market for seasonal research
Requirements
- DEC or Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design
- Minimum 7 years experience in design
- Detail oriented and self motivated
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong color sense
- Excellent knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
- Bilingual (English and French)

Key Responsibilities
- Translate vision and emerging trends into the assigned product lines based on concept direction.
- Maximize sales and gross profits, minimize shuffles and unplanned markdowns (with Product Manager).
- Create and coordinate multiple pieces that aim to satisfy our clientele and corresponds to our brand image.
- Work with technical designers, patternmakers, and fit technicians to ensure our clothing corresponds to our specifics.
- Build a relationship with the Buying team that fosters development of innovative, relevant and fashion forward designs.
- Build a relationship with the Production team that takes into consideration manufacturing limitations, yet pushes our expectations of quality, lead time and price value.
- Research and develop new fabrics, washes, trims and finishes that are within our cost constraints and elevate the brand.
- Adhere to design calendar.
- Shop international and domestic market for seasonal research.
Qualifications
- DEC or Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design.
- Minimum 7 years experience design experience.
- Detailed oriented, self motivated.
- Good Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Word) skills.
- Strong color sense.
- Excellent knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Bilingual (English and French).
- Sound judgement and a good understanding of trends and the fashion apparel industry.
