Overview

  • Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and passionate Faculty Member in Family Medicine to join the General Medicine Practice Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver undergraduate teaching in Family Medicine through lectures, tutorials, clinical teaching, and case based learning (CBL).
  • Supervise students during clinical rotations in primary healthcare centers and family medicine clinics.
  • Teach evidence based approaches to preventive care, chronic disease management, health promotion, and patient centered care.
  • Utilize Blackboard (LMS), digital learning platforms, and educational technologies effectively.
  • Prepare, administer, and evaluate examinations, assignments, and clinical assessments.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student evaluations.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to medical students.
  • Foster clinical reasoning, professionalism, communication, and ethical practice.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Conduct research in Family Medicine or related healthcare disciplines.
  • Publish scholarly work in peer reviewed journals.
  • Participate in academic conferences, seminars, and research collaborations.

Requirements

  • MD, Arab Board, Saudi Board, or PhD in Family Medicine.
  • Professional classification and licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or eligibility for registration.
  • Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Clinical experience in Family Medicine and Primary Healthcare.
  • Experience in research, academic activities, and curriculum development is an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of Family Medicine principles and evidence based primary care.
  • Excellent teaching, mentoring, and student engagement skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard or equivalent).
  • Critical thinking, clinical decision making, and problem solving abilities.
  • Commitment to research, academic excellence, and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary academic and healthcare teams.
